Back in May, I headed to Holy Trinity Church on Platt Lane for some wedding photography in Manchester. I now get to share their wedding day and show you how they said “I do” with style.
With only a few days to go until these two tie the knot its time to share their engagement shoot. I caught up with them a few weeks ago on a gorgeously sunny evening at Monsal Head in the Peak District. We had a lovely time checking out the old railway tunnels and enjoying the stunning scenery.
Sammi and Matt had the most lovely laid back wedding at Adlington Hall last summer. They had both their ceremony and reception in the Hunting Lodge and their whole day had an intimate family feel to it. We had some beautiful weather and were able to capture a gorgeous sunset. Sammi looked completely stunning and Matt cleans up pretty nicely too!
Horses have a way of creeping into your heart and leaving hoofprints on your soul. I have no idea why I was so infatuated with ponies as a young girl. But I wasn't alone. For some of us its just a part of who we are and no matter where life takes us they never quite leave our thoughts. We grow up and life gives us other responsibilities but horses remind of us the young girls we still are.
Last summer I met up with Donna and Andy in Derbyshire for a Matlock Bath engagement photoshoot. This lovely couple are super sweet and totally chilled out. They didn't mind where we went for the shoot and I always try to make it straightforward for my clients so we went for Matlock Bath as its about halfway between us. Andy also quite likes his fish so we thought we could check out the aquarium while we were there.
Let me take you back to May 2016 and the beautiful sunny day that saw Ben and Vicky become husband and wife. We started out with preparations at Oddfellows in Chester. Gorgeous quirky hotel. Then we drove to St. Martins in Shropshire for their village church ceremony. After that it was over the border into Wales for celebrations at Tower Hill Barns. A perfect barn wedding venue.
You may have noticed that lots of photographers are posting end of year round ups about this time. Well, I still have one wedding to go this year and I just know its going to make my 'best of' list! These guys get married at the end of the month and I can't wait to shoot their Oak Tree of Peover wedding.
Well firstly congratulations! Now, breathe. Hopefully you've had at least a week to get used to the extra weight on that ring finger and more than one bottle of champagne to celebrate. If not do that first!
Back in July I met up with Lisa and Tom in Liverpool for their engagement session ahead of their September wedding. It was a gorgeous evening and these two are so fun to photograph. They are the sort of couple that you never have to encourage to smile as they are always laughing their heads off and having a great time. Honestly they are that cute together!
