Aviation themed engagement shoot in Liverpool
I love this couple. Not just because they are taking me to Italy with them to shoot their wedding in September, well ok that's part of it ;-) They are just loads of fun and their wedding is going to be amazing. I’ve shot them as a family with little Mylee but this was Abi and Chris’ time to celebrate their engagement and get some shots that tell their story as a couple.
Abi and Chris met online and are living proof that a certain app is not just for hookups! Chris is a pilot and he and Abi would set up dates for whenever he was at home. Flying and aeroplanes have been a big part of their life and so Abi suggested including a bit of the aviation theme in their shoot. With that in mind, we met up at The Crown Plaza in Speke where the carpark is full of planes.
We then headed out to the approach lights for Liverpool airport. Chris checked for incoming flights and we managed to get a shot with an Easyjet flight overhead. Probably a plane that he has flown at some point.
Then we finished up on the beach at Hale where we found the most wonderful field of yellow rapeseed and enjoyed some wonderful sunshine. It was an absolute pleasure to spend this time with Abi and Chris. They were quite nervous to begin with but totally relaxed and enjoyed themselves by the end of the shoot. This means that on their wedding day they can relax right from the start of their photo session and enjoy the day even more. Abi has also set up a wedding website with all the information her guests need and these pictures are going to look amazing on there. Now, on with the photos!
