Cathy and Paul had a sweet and simple celebration with some relaxed wedding photography at Cottons Hotel in Knutsford. They kept the styling simple with a big part of their day focused around an amazing vintage VW camper van. Coupled with sunflowers and balloons there was a definite summer festival theme.
Cottons Hotel, Knutsford
Cathy and Paul love to travel and when we first met we spent a lot of time talking about all the places they have visited and Paul’s love of diving. They had originally thought they would get married in Cyprus but decided that being able to say their vows in front of all of their family was more important to them. They chose Cottons in Knutsford as a venue that could accommodate all of their wishes. On the day the staff were fantastic and Charlie in particular went above and beyond to ensure that the day ran smoothly.
Charitable Favours
Cathy and Paul have adopted two dogs. They kept them close with framed letters that they had sent to the adoption centres. Instead of favours, they made donations to the Blue Cross and Birmingham Dogs Home. I think this a lovely idea and I’m glad to see that it is becoming a more popular tradition to include charitable favours. I’m only sorry that Billy the bulldog couldn’t make it to the wedding!
The Wedding Camper Van
The VW camper van was the most pristine vehicle I think I have ever seen. It was provided by David of I Do Campers who I would highly recommend. After the ceremony and some family photographs, Cathy and Paul climbed aboard ‘Sandy’ for a champagne cruise. I tagged along as we headed to the park to get some relaxed and natural portraits of this lovely couple. I think Paul was smitten and I see a VW camper in Cathy’s future!
Whatever the future holds I’m sure this couple will be very happy. I wish them all the best as they head off on their travels x
